On 15 Aril 2023, Professor Michel Leblanc hosted the Fellowship Board of Director annual Black Belt Exam at his Dojo in Cantley, Quebec. This was the first large gathering of our Black Belts since the pandemic. In attendance, we had 17 Black Belts including Professor Dave and his crew from Kingston. Professor Michel did an excellent job organizing and hosting the event. He also prepared his two students, Alexis Dionne and Sylvain Kirouac, well for their Shodan exam, which they passed. Congradulations to both and welcome to the Black Belt Fellowship.

Professor Dave MacIver finally received his promotion certificate to Shichidan (7th degree), after receiving the news originally via e-mail in 2020 during the pandemic. Professor Ray Zwicker was awarded the rank of Kudan (9th degree) by the Board of Directors. May 2023 will mark his 50th anniversary with Ninja Jiu-Jitsu. After the exam we headed to a restaurant where everyone relaxed and enjoyed catching up with old and new friends. Thank you Professsor Michel for opening your home to us. Its was great to see everyone together again.
