By recognizing those martial artists we have trained with and respect; and by accepting them into our Fellowship, we ensure that our concepts, philosophies, theories and techniques are spread to another generation of practitioners. Associate Members :
This Policy will allow those we know and trust, to share our martial art path. For a candidate to be considered an Associate Fellowship member, he or she is required to :
Anyone who knew Jules was aware that his passion was the martial arts. Sensei Jules generously shared his knowledge with his students for over four decades. Thousands of his students over the years have benefited from his wisdom and vast technical repertoire.
Sensei Jules taught us how to be better martial artists and people; he led by example. He gave and shared his experience unselfishly. Sensei Jules was our voice of reason, our wise spiritual advisor, our technical guide and our friend. His love of the Arts and his students was always evident and felt. Although he dislikeds the term "Master", Jules was one in the truest sense.
Sensei Jules passed away on Sunday 6 June 2010 at his home in Ottawa due to a heart attack.
Our dear friend, martial art instructor and Fellowship member Renshi Alain Lalonde was suddenly taken away from us at the early age of 41. Al was with the Fellowship since 1999 where he was a senior student in Kali-Jitsu.
Al was larger than life, an incredible friend, exceptional student and role model. He was honourable, caring, rock-solid dependable, good natured and a giant of a man whose heart was as big as he was. As a Sensei, Al inspired and motivated his students. As a student, he was a joy to teach, his dedication and passion for the Martial Arts were always evident. He had a true heart, sharp mind and awesome real life Martial Arts talent. He will be missed.
Rest in Peace BrotherAs a student Yves was as dedicated and talented as they come. His passion for the martial arts was inspiring. He diligently pursued all his many interests which included Jiu-Jitsu, Martial Arts, weight-lifting and body conditioning, knives and weapons, cars, motorcycles and racing, life, family, children, love.
Yves was a caring, enthusiastic, honourable, intelligent and sharing black belt with a great sense of humour. It was an honour to know him. He was a really good guy who will be sorely missed.
Sensei Todd was a great guy who was a model of character, class, leadership and talent. Todd was a motivator and an inspiration to his students, peers and instructors. His martial arts legacy will be carried on by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Peace Brother - you will be missed.
